Technically very good - cheap construction.
One of the best and cost efficient filter systems around.. It can grow algae if exposed to a lot of light. The 'ceramic dome' needs abrasive cleaning every month or two.
The ceramic 'diatomaceous earth' dome filter is a proven way to remove suspended particles right down to (most) bacteria. The smallest bacteria (eg. Mycoplasma) might get thru. The 'Activated Carbon' filter section can remove chloramine, hydrogen sulfide and heavy metals but not dissolved minerals, salts or metals. Some of these are reduced by the other stages in the filter column.

Good quality, solid weight & high flow.
Is heavier and has a higher flow rate than a bunnys one which is twice the price! Well made.. Don't know the long term durability yet.

Good Value but Some Dangers
As an Electrical Engineer, This item is good $ value but there are some some Dangerous aspects. Internally, the 240V Active wire rests against the sharp corner of the transformer core. Of itself this is not so bad, but the the core gets very hot at even 70% power - so I put some spiral protection on that active. Also, the 'Full Power' rating is only ok for maybe 5 min? (Too hot to touch at 70%) Also, this is an 'Auto Transformer' so the Neutral continues thru - but, it presents on the left of the output instead of the right. This is not a problem unless you have an appliance with a grounded neutral! (Bang!)
