Sony smooth as silk
Great unit with exceptional cd sound and plays dvds and dvd+r perfectly, does not play dvd-r. After using a cheapo model i upgraded to this model and saw an immediate improvement in picture quality. The functions of the remote are duplicated on the unit beneath the sleek slide down panel for multiple redundancy. Many options as far as picture, display can be dimmed or turned off as well. While not progressive scan the interlaced video looks just as good as new progressive scan players on non hd tv's. Worst thing is with the placement of some of the buttons on the remote. IMO placement should be play, scan, then skip. However right below the play is the skip button and below that the scan button. Best thing is the satisfying "click" sound of an internal switch when the dvd is recognized. Mine is over 10 years old and plays flawlessly.

harmonica and synthesizer come together like milk +oreo
From the great theme song to Jims love of milk and Oreo cookies, Rockford files delivers some of the best television moments ever. Driving the Pontiac firebird is Jim Garner himself. Garner doing all his own stunts also adds to the shows quality. The key to the show is of course Rockfords heart of gold. Often taking cases knowing they may well result in another of his frequent beatings just because a nice girl says please. The first season shows some experimentation resulting in a few of the episodes being a bit average(like the 2 parter). However even these shows have some great bits, not to mention excellent examples of how to lose a tail! The best detective show period.

Pinnacle of Pride
The pride really had it going on with this show, except for Trigg's lay and pray decision all the fights are epic battles finished by the fighters. Watch in amazement as Nick Diaz, stoned out of his mind at the time, lays the beat down on (at the time #1 light weight in the world) Gomi, finally strangling him. Check out the current Dream champion, hellboy! Blink your eyes in astonishment as Dan Henderson does what no one has ever done before! A tightly packed event, the show goes from fight to fight without the typical inane remarks, self promotion or endorsements for other products generally heard in the ufc. Pride never die!
