very good build quality, only niggle is you have to take apart to adjust timer if required, mine was ok from box. more effective than a 4" fan, for not much more wall space, full Rear Gasket to the 'wall', internal O ring seal around fan duct. auto shutters, that reduce any back draft, and heat loss.

Richard Chamberlain, operating in Japan; SHOGUN
1 of 1 found this helpful Shogun, a not so mini-series TV classic. In these days of poor TV full of copycat reallity programmes, celebrity (self titled) participation and frankly, cheap tv; we have reverted to looking back at some series from the past. Das Boot, House of Cards, etc and Shogun. Filmed at huge expense for its day, this classic, taken faithfully from James Clavell's book, was originally planned as a film, but such an epic could never fit into the time constraints of cinema, hence the birth of the series. The only things that date this work are probably the image quality transposed onto DVD and the accompanying musical soundtrack. Neither should distract from viewing an absorbing vision of the culture shock when a Dutch ship disgorges the remnants of its crew on the shores of Japan. The story following the exploits of the Pilot Major in the form of Richard Chamberlain. Notable is the performance of Toshiro Mifune as war lord and eventual Shogun.
If you have never seen this series, or have fond memories of the 80's production, I would highly recommend its veiwing. A fantasic bit of television depicting Japan in the 17 Century. Predating another cultral rift depicted in the superb 'Last Samurei', a product of modern cinema techniques unimaginable in the early 80's. Find, beg, steal, or borrow a copy and you will have some absorbing evenings of viewing, yes, evenings; we watched this over 4 evenings, riveting good stuff.
