Spend the money.
Already had a Lincoln 220V and Craftsman 110V arc welders which were fine. Wanted to get into wire welding without either breaking the bank or buyng disposable low end stuff. This is a great starter's set with room to grow into real MiG welding at a quality and value point that is worthwhile.
Sure you can buy a budget wire welder for $99 with a coupon, but it and you will never be any more of a welder than when it comes out of its box.
Easy assembly (minor stuff) and clear instructions. Also like the variety of wire sizes and weights that this accommodates. Next up is a bottle an unshielded wire.
I know that the old timers keep saying to learn how to stick weld first, but this welder makes me look like I know what I am doing. And it will likely last for my son's lifetime.

Good quality and price is right.
We've performed several 'axle flips' on our trailers over the years. You get 4 perches for a dual axle trailer for about the same price as you'd pay for 2 perches locally.
Locating the perches on top of the axle precisely parallel to the original spring seats has always been the challenge. We bought these to weld a pair of 5/8 x 2" bolts and an extended nut to both locate the seat and maintain parallel. This mimics commercially available products for less than $8 per seat.
It is probably even strong enough to forgo welding on smaller trailers.

1 of 1 found this helpful Granted, AR accessories are built to the 'standard' however these rails won't fit a Ruger AR 556 without substantial mods. Ruger went off the rails (pun intended) when they built their version of the A2 front sight. The lower lug on the sight won't clear this manufacturer's rails. Ruger chose a different shape which won't quite fit between the standard sized channels.
It's time that manufacturers of accessory parts begin to accommodate some of the non-standard features especially on some of the more common budget rifles that are ripe for build out. And Ruger sells a ton of AR 556s.
The all cast aluminum is tried and true when it comes to reliability, but cast quad rails are quickly falling out of favor to a more slender profile which enables a more natural and comfortable grip.
These rails are something that I would have been thrilled to have in 2007 however in today's market these are old hat and not readily adaptable to one of the most common AR platforms sold today.
I know, everyone wants Gucci unobtanium in the latest proprietary innovation for 9.99 but still, it could be better designed. If this extended rail were more of a universal fit, it would only suffer from being a cast clunky handrail which is entirely forgivable. Some shooters like the bulk. But when it isn't truly 'universal,' well then it ends up in the obsolete pile.
