Technics SL-PG 500A DC Player - still as good as when the original came on the market 30 years ago
I bought this second hand Technics SL-PG 500A CD Player on eBay to replace mine which I originally purchased around 30 years ago. Mine had developed a fault and was skipping tracks which I considered easier to replace rather than fix. To date, the replacement CD Player appears to be doing as good a job as the original. Sound quality through my 40 year old AKAI AM-U22 amp and Q Acoustics 3050 floor-standing speakers (less than one year old) is superb regardless of the music genre - Fleetwood Mac (Rumours), UFO (Strangers in the Night), Gary Moore (Still Got The Blues), Deep Purple (Machine Head) and Adele (21) to name but a few.

As good a product as it was 35 years ago.
I bought this double CD for nostalgic reasons.
I was slightly suspicious that the product would live up to the claim of being the same product that was originally marketed more than three decades ago but my fears were unfounded.
Very impressed.
