Look stunning
These are really big bulbs, with a fantastic glow. Look really expensive and everyone comments on how great they match the vintage wall lights we have them in.

Good idea, but limited on temperature control. Wouldn't recommend.
2 of 5 found this helpful I bought this as an alternative to straighteners which singe my fine hair. When I read the write ups I thought there was a fairly broad range of temperature settings available between 150 and 185°. It heats up quickly to 150, but then there are only two further settings which come up, the first is 160° the other is 185° There are no incremental settings available and it won't go to the 165° setting recommended for fine hair. I checked with JML in case my brush was faulty but was told there are only the three settings, 150, 160 and 185. It's OK, but takes too long to straighten my hair at the lower temperatures and I'm nervous about using the high one. Not the range of controllable temperatures I thought I was buying. Will have to keep as it's not faulty, but if you need something with a more controllable temperature, I wouldn't recommend this. Very disappointed.

Disappointing and not as effective as hoped
The unit itself is very large, much bigger than I expected, so it's worth checking you will have somewhere to put it safely. It does kill flies, however, two big issues. It is very ineffective in daylight, much more effective at dusk and late evening when the lights attract flies more effectively. The second issue is that it either stuns the flies which hit the element, some later pick themselves up and fly away, or it incinerates them leaving an awful smell of burning until you switch the unit off and get the dead fly off the element. I wouldn't recommend it as a fly swat is actually much more effective!
