A great grouping of Cary Grant movies
Cary Grant... From a serious lead role in Destination Tokyo, to the hilarity of My Favorite Wife, and on to the deadpan humor of Mr. Blandings builds His Dream House, what a great bunch of movies. Movies that are timeless. I'm glad I got DVDs of these. Thank You!

Great cinematography
An interesting movie; but not a happy movie. Great cast, amazing use of light, good pacing and editing... after seeing this movie and contemplating the times in which it was made, it is easy to understand how it did not do well at the box office. What is it understandable, is why Charles Laughton didn’t direct more movies. I think this is his only time in the director‘s chair, and he demonstrated he really understood movie making.

Burning Bright : The Autobiography of Edward Wharton-Tigar (Hardcover) HTF RARE

An exciting reed
An amazing fellow... He goes through pre WWII Europe, then serving as special forces and spy, then on to mining rare earth metals when countries were quietly acquiring material needed for thermonuclear bombs (the step after atomic bombs of WW II), and then on to diamond mines and DeBeers, and the propped up false diamond prices. Wharton-Tigar had among the best of collections of cigarette cards, including some rare US baseball cards. Seems the diamond folk bought up many of the copies of this book, to prevent dissemination of the diamond price mess, so the books are tough to locate. I enjoy this book. Lots.
