Maybe You Should Talk to Someone: A Therapist, HER Therapist, and Our Lives Reve

Excellent book, highly recommended
I highly recommend this for anyone. The writing is excellent, the subject compelling. The author, who is a therapist, takes you along both as she works with her clients and as she goes to therapy herself. You'd think that she would know how to deal with life-blows, since she herself is a therapist, but what she demonstrates is that we all have blind areas. It really makes one think that 1) we all might get a lot of benefit from working with a therapist, and 2) we often aren't doing what we think we are doing. It aptly illustrates what I know from working with others, from kids and family to co-workers and psychiatric patients: helping them changes us, too, and we're all in this together.
La Canadienne Finley Suede Booties, Women's Size 10M, Black

Great quality, little arch support (fixable), run narrow (which can be good)
La Canadienne boots are just some of the best quality boots! They do have a narrow foot, they run a little long, and don't have much arch support; I have a size 10.5A foot but the 10M fit in La Canadienne WITH a 3/4-length Powerstep ThinStep insole. The insole that comes with the boot isn't removable. For reference, in an Ugg (I have two of the more refined Ugg ankle boots, not the sloppy ones) I wear size 11 and have to use a full-size Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx insert because those run a little wider. The sole of these La Canadiennes has pretty good traction and don't pick up rocks or sand; the heel is a little narrow for me because I'm used to my Uggs, so these are going to be more for dress than for tromping around. They make me feel quite elegant.
A Framework for Understanding Poverty 4th Edition by Ruby K. Payne

Great info!
I really hadn’t planned on sitting down with this book and reading half of it in one sitting, but that’s what happened! I’m a nurse, have worked as a public health nurse, and it has helped me so much to understand why people who live in poverty behave the ways they do. It’s a compelling read, will pass on to my daughter who is a teacher.
