Not ready to shave, not sharpened *at all.*
The razor was not sharpened. A razor that is not sharp defeats the purpose of buying a razor in the first place. If it were being marketed as an unsharpened blank, ready for sharpening and finishing, then at least the ad would have been honest and not deceptive.
For those seeking to buy a straight razor, buy a NEW razor, from a good reputable brand name company. If you buy used, you can expect a product that needs to have the edge bevel set and finished sharpening by a professional. By the time you have done all of this, you would have been better off buying a NEW, ready to shave razor from a reputable dealer.
For those of us who are not new to straight razors, and who already know how to do this ourselves, then buying a used vintage antique can be a bargain. For someone who is new to straight razors, the only thing they will purchase with this product is frustration, and if they don't know any better, a risk of severe personal injury, laceration, and exsanguination.

An awe inspiring work of art and Family Friendly too! :D
1 of 1 found this helpful While it is usually difficult to objectively rate something as inherently subjective as art, this particular RBC production is a Grand Slam. It knocks the base ball right out of the park!
In my case, Daddy loves books and so will my young son if I have anything to say about it. I was instructing my toddler son in European children's literature- Hoffman's *Nutcracker and the Mouse King* in the instant case. It's a great children's story, but by being able to add the Tschaikovsky's Nutcracker Ballet as a visual aid, it really brought a concrete visual dimension to the story as told in the book.
Girls, I expect, would have a similar experience. Additionally, they could watch Mrs. Cojocaru perform, know that she started out as a teenage gymnast, and realize the career possibilities if you just roll up your sleeves and go to work. If nothing else, they can learn important Life Lessons (boys too).
Every artist involved in this production did a bang-up job. Even 2 decades later, it is still an incomparable work.
