Iffy start but works very well.
I bought this a while back but it was a purchase I’ve been needing to make for some time; though, once it got here, I was pretty excited.
The exterior was nice and looked really good, some scratches but overall a very good quality. It fit perfectly fine to my set of cameras and had nonissue with it getting stuck or damaging whatever it attached to. So right out of the box, it was a pleasant welcome.
I wanted to use it right away but there was a tad bit of battery acid I had to clean out which wasn’t too much of a hassle and something a simple clean-up couldn’t handle.
Then just the simple boot up and testing. Initially it started to give off the scent of something burning and the recycle would take more than a few minutes to reset, so I let it sit out after the testing and waiting a few hours to use it again. Which promptly started to work again and I haven’t had issues since.
It’s quite bright honestly and a little more than what I was expecting, but works like a wonder when taking some shots at night or in the dark. It drains my batteries pretty quick, but they’re rechargeable so I can’t complain about that.
I would recommend this for someone who wants a minimalistic yet effective flash attachment in their inventory.
