The oddball that never stops impressing!
Just got this oddball today, in good shape but what blows me away is not only its interesting look and size but how well it performs online, out of my over 40 Chromebooks of all different brands and configurations this one just makes me smile, Haier got it right, excellent image quality very good sound quick performance (mainly because of the Rockchip quad core processor) and a lean version 84 Chrome OS, before they junked it up with Google Play as it is today.
Keyboard action and feel is also in a league by itself as is touchpad response, heck even my wireless mouse has never worked so smooth, then there is the build of the chassis and body itself, this thing is tough.
The only drawback I have yet to resolve is the battery which currently is in very good shape but very hard to find, other than that I just bought a second one just to have, this little bugger is just that impressive.
Update: Just got number 2 Haier even better than the first....uh oh just ordered a third !

A First Rate Laptop !
1 of 1 found this helpful Never had a ThinkPad before, this thing is built like a tank, is quick online, love the keyboard and touchpad is just right.
Mine had very minor scuffs (not scratches) on the lid but otherwise well cared for.
The screen is hands down the best TN (non IPS) screen I have used and then there is the icing on the cake, sound loudness and quality is good but the yellow and red function lights on the keypad and the lid just make it fun and interesting, a very enjoyable first rate machine!
Had some fun with it, polished edges with dark grey inlay.

Use it for a day or two, it will grow on you!
The Lenovo N42-20 is the "affordable" 14 inch tablet that for the current price simply cannot be beat.
Right off you do get a 14 inch NON IPS Touchscreen that on its own is just not great but not bad provided you stay put when using it, on a desk, in your lap yet the clear layer over the TN screen does help alot with improved color depth and sharpness as opposed to the non glare TN screen. Note ( There is an Extension called Video Image Control (Gamma) ) which can really work wonders on any screen with video and images, improving color, depth, gamma etc.....A MUST HAVE for any Chromebook!
Sound does use the Dolby effects for good surround sound, it really depends on the quality of the sound files coming to it so again be patient.
Online performance is average depending on how many tabs open, the fewer the better!
This is a very no nonsense work laptop that being a Lenovo will hold up over time and THAT is what you are buying new or old (provided it hasn't been trashed)!
Now, if you want something a step up for LESS, then the Lenovo N22-20 Touch is the ticket, smaller, lighter faster with Touch IPS screen and great sound....so there you have it.
Regarding this seller DealPlanit....they have been outstanding after buying 10 plus Chromebooks from them at "another online sales site" all have been super nice and well prepared and from now on I will be buying from them here!
