Carb kit less key off take gasket
This carb kit is Literally just that - carb only and very good value - it had all the parts I required for the ‘stand alone’ carb and they were well made so fit was good.
Only 4 stars as despite all this It is disappointing (and I’d of course paid more!) that the carb off take elbow gasket wasn’t included.
Real shame as it’s a gasket that goes frequently where the elbow bolts to the engine intake (gets hot and disintegrates) causing the Briggs and Stratton quantum engine on my mower to ‘surge’ as the engine gets weak mixture due additional air that gets drawn in past the elbow into the engine cylinder.
The other end of this intake elbow is located in the carb (the rubber seal for this IS included in this kit)

Okay but could have been so much better.
Shame this was slightly oversize for Vax and didn't stay on plastic hose very well.
Also design with longer bristles is exactly what I'd required (the orig Vax on is utterly useless) shame though on this additional purchase as the bristles are not very 'dense' as such too much air escapes between them to provide much suction as it passes over dust etc.
have stated still 'good value' as it was so inexpensive and does do a job of sorts but could have been much better with little extra outlay on design / manufacture.

Like for like replacement - well made & ...
Like for like replacement - well made & indistinguishable from the OEM bar the Chinese manufacturers truly daft name emblazoned in the strut - that appear upside down when fitted correctly - which is gas body towards the car cabin)
The ball socket retaining clips are a bit tricky - DONT try to fully lift them away from the socket to release end from ball joint - they lift slightly then slide towards the end of the rod - exercise some restraint or the clip destorts and won’t seat once strut in place. (save the old just in case!) I’d also recommend doing both struts at the same time - ours was a 2018 model so 7 years and lots and lots of shopping in the boot of my wife’s car is a fair lifespan and at only £13+ delivered it’s a very cost effective no brainer.
These are only just fitted so longevity unknown but first impressions - extremely good value for money and boot hatch certainly stays put when lifted up now and is much easier to do so! (Former qualified mechanic)
