Exactly the right parts you need
The kit contains everything you need to fix your Sears garage door opener. Make sure you get the correct model number off the unit. HINT: The model number is on the front of the opener where the light socket is located. There's another number on the back which is only 4 or 5 digits. That's not the correct one. My door opener is at least 25 years old; these parts worked perfectly. They even include illustrated instructions which came in handy. My advice is to take the door opener DOWN off the ceiling. It is way easier to repair on a table instead of working overhead.

Not mechanically inclined
I drive an old '94 Camry and try to maintain it myself. I couldn't see spending a lot of money just to fix the power antenna, but I figured for less than 20 bucks, it was worth a try. The product arrived quickly and came with some instructions. You can find out about doing this repair via online video, which was very helpful. Since the antenna cable was broken, I had to take the power unit out of the trunk and disassemble the whole thing just to get the broken piece of cable out. The whole thing took a bit longer than I expected, about 2 hours. I didn't want to make any mistakes so I was really careful. I'm not much of a mechanic, but this repair is doable if you take your time and have some basic tools.
-------- N O T E : It's a Japanese car so all the bolts holding the unit together are METRIC.
Great product. Thanks, guys!
