    Useful Book
My three year old loves this book. She uses it with her U.S. map to learn her states (she now knows and can locate about 40 of the 50 states -- more than daddy). Although some of the information is too complex for her, she uses it to help her remember the states. For example, Kentucky in the "horse" state.

Cute book, but... hurt my feelings
I wanted some craft ideas to do with my daughter. ALthough I wasn't disappointed; I ranked low because of the "tone" of the book. It suggested that mom's who didn't sew, knit, or crochet as less of a mother.... Since I fall into this category, these comments hurt my feelings. There is so much pressure on mom's today to be able to do everything... Maybe I'm oversensitive, but I definately wouldn't buy this for a mom/grandma who didn't know how to sew, knit, and crochet... There were some non-sewing craft ideas -- like paper mache, jar decorating, concrete steppers, etc... There were also ideas like using your spare wool. Spare wool? I live in Florida where it is warm 10 months of the year. I don't own anything wool, much less have "spare wool" hanging around the house. This book could be cute for the right person.
