Nakamichi mechanics on McIntosh quality.
Purchased from Italy in USA as non-functioning, but aesthetically mint. Reasonable price (about 400 Euro), expensive shipping and customs charges as well.
Repaired in Italy at an expense of 300 Euro. The repairman told me it would take a couple of hours to list all the things that were wrong, which were checked, replaced, etc.
It is working like a charm now. It was definitely worth the wait and the expense.
It now stands between a Revox B77(above) and a Nakamichi 600 (below)
The black glass front with the McIntosh lettering illuminated in green is always a beautiful sight. Very satisfied.
