Not the best "Girl With Guns", but indenialy entertaining.
A Hong Kong action film that could have turned out to be excellent, thanks to its assumed first degree, its growing nervousness, its stunts - almost - without safety net, and its brutal, duly choreographed fights. Unfortunately, these latter are sometimes handicapped by sound effects (of blows) that are too strong, even laughable - even at this time (the early 90's) - which diminish their strength and impact.
A bit too bad because by exporting itself to the middle of the Burmese-Thai jungle, “Angel Force” could be proud to think outside the box of the classic “Girl With Guns”.
And then the Moon Lee/Wilson Lam tandem works well. As for Hugo Ng, who convincingly interprets a dark and ambiguous character.
A good "GwG" then, but not the best of its kind.
P.S. : if you want top quality with Moon Lee, get and watch "Killing Angels", "Angel Terminators 2", "Kickboxer's Tears", "Fatal Termination", or even the "Iron Angels" quadrilogy.
