Dangerously low quality with safety feature that failed after a few days usage

Then while the 'sleep' function was meant to keep the temperature at 200°C, I noticed that the tip was glowing red. Clearly not 200°C!
There was a loud pop and now the temperature control doesn't work at all. If I turn the iron on, it quickly heats up to the point of glowing.
This is a dangerously low quality product that likely has faulty wiring. There are other reviews mentioning the same issues. Don't risk it hoping you won't get one that breaks down.
I will not be buying another one of these and I don't recommend it. I'll be spending extra to get something good quality instead or risking another one of these.

Compact unit, but far from silent
2 of 2 found this helpful Nice long tubing and works fine. I like that they don't provide pre-cut lengths of tubing, so you can cut them to any length you want.
But this is far from 'silent' as can be. I was shocked at how loud the hum is. Even when the air flow knob is turned down to the lowest point, it's still very loud. I can seriously hear it in the next room through the wall. Very disappointed with an otherwise perfectly fine air pump.

Nice design - terrible reliability
Worked really well for two weeks before the buttons started to fail. The left button works about 50% of the time now and the mouse wheel button doesn't work at all.
Nice design and feels good, but not reliable at all.
