A great way to get yourself killed for less than a dollar.
2 of 2 found this helpful While from the photos it seems like the the adapter includes ground connections, it DOES NOT.
Even worse than that, upon visual inspection you would STILL think it is grounded, since there are the necessary metal parts on both sides. However, a quick continuity test will tell you the two sides are NOT CONNECTED. The grounds are completely isolated.
The build quality is otherwise all right -- this is not a faulty unit. The fault is inherent to the design, as you can see on the photo of a disassembled unit (the one I received). The grounding metalwork on the UK side just simply sits in a little plastic hole, completely isolated. There is no way it could make contact with the matching ground pin on the other side, even by a mistake. Yet, seeing it from the outside, you would swear they must be connected and the adapter is safe.
This adapter is NOT SAFE. It is highly MISLEADING, making it appear that it has an important safety feature that it DOES NOT.
This thing should be banned. If you bought one, throw it away, or be ready for a random chance of electrocution if you accidentally use it with grounded appliances (i.e. plug that has all three pins).

Great little thing for measuring accumulators
The build quality isn't exactly stellar: the voltage-sense connector had a damaged pin, the LCD board is missing two stand-offs, the temperature sensor measures temperature of the heat sink instead of the transistor it should be protecting etc.. The voltage-sense input could use a screw terminal, too.
It could also come with better instructions; e.g. how to switch it into capacity tester mode? You have to hold a button while plugging the power jack in -- not exactly intuitive.
But other than that, I find it pretty good at what I need it to do: testing accumulator capacity. You can set the discharge current and cutoff voltage and the programmable load will do the rest. The only limitation would be the lower current limit, 200 mA, meaning you could have trouble discharging some tiny accumulators at 1 C.

As good as it gets for the price
Good display resolution, relatively comfortable (I got the "enhanced" version that includes the soft face-mask surround) and versatile due to the separable design. I just wish you could change the screen distance / zoom, but the default picture size seems all right.
There is quite a lot of space inside so I'm thinking of adding a small DVR module, using the two redundant buttons as its controls.
