can't beat this for value unless you buy blades thru the dollar shave club
I bought the Braun after being an exclusive Norelco owner for roughly 40 years. My last 2 norelcos were top end a $170 Arcitect was the most expensive of the bunch. On both of these I replaced the blades and only one of them actually worked, I reinstalled them same result. I spoke with a coworker who owned Norelco and Braun and said if he had to do it again it would be Braun hands down. So I tried this one for about 50 bucks,not much more than the blades for the arcitec. So far it has lived up to all expectations even getting spots the norleco struggled with. These blades are said to last 18 months which is fantastic. It works even better with some lectric shave. The only thing I can't speak on is durability as Ive only had it for 2-3 weeks but so far am very confident I made the right choice and I believe I am now a Braun customer for life unless of course something absolutely revolutionary and cheap comes along. By the way I have a coarse beard with mostly white and gray hair and that stuff is like wire. The first shave it knocked off a 3 day growth like a hot knife through butter, my norelco couldn't do that I had to blade shave if I went 3 days. Buy it you should be happy if you formerly used Norelco product.
