Humph - a man for all seasons!
Admittedly not a modern collection, by any standard, but if you are a fan of jazz, and particularly Humphrey Lyttelton, you couldn't do better. Great in the car (which is a 1970s model!), brilliant just for listening to for the sake of it, and especially good in the kitchen. Making apple crumble to the sound of Humph takes some beating, I can assure you. Great value.

Nostalgia and practicality all in one.
I got issued with one of these in 1972, and since they were so good then, I thought they might be as good now. They are! It keeps the water out, holds loads, has both shoulder straps and a carrying handle and was extremely good value. If you need a capacious, all-purpose bag, this is the one!

Coruscating
1 of 1 found this helpful A superbly well written, excellently researched book with the complete history of both halls at Hardwick, packed with appealing photographs and explanations. Very much a book for the serious historian, rather than the casual browser.
