Classic
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought one of the older editions, hardback with dust cover, just my personal preference. The layout and indexing works well to make a great handbook for the naturalist.

Maisy is a favorite
My youngest daughter inherited a copy of this book from her older sister (who was not so careful in preserving the flaps and pages!), so she had never seen a fully functional copy of the book. However, despite the torn pages from years of enjoyment, she still loved the story and is at the stage where she is identifying the words, almost reading it herself. So I bought her a new copy of the book and we recycled the old one. She is so happy with it, we have read it at least daily since getting the new copy. It provides a short, simple and quite readable treat before bedtime or anytime! The vivid colors and simple words make it a joy for the budding reader (and her parents!).
