Worked with my Cable Provider Charter Communications
1 of 1 found this helpful If you plan on using this with Charter, you will need to get a cable card and a tuning adapter box from your local Charter Store.
I had issues setting up my first GX-SM530CF. Issues weren't related to the device, I went through a few cable cards before I got a good one that actually read. You will need the Serial Number of your Cable Card which is on the actual card. You will also need your Host ID #, Data # and Card # which are located in the menu: Settings-- Broadcast-- Cable Card Info-- Cable Card pairing option.
Just Sharing this information because the techs at Charter aren't very knowledgeable about where this information is located. If you cannot find this information in the menu, you may have a bad card.
