Great value for older PC's. 10/10, would reccomend.
I got this as a upgrade for my aging gaming PC. It is an LGA775 based PC, and I was running a Q9400 clocked at 3.6GHz. I got this clocked at 4.0GHz, and in some cases it's almost twice as fast. It also can beat a first gen i7 too, so I believe it has an excellent value. It can even almost match a newer i5, such as a i5 2400, for a much lower price. I like its lower power consumption, lower heat output, and lower price for 12MB cache, and ease for overclocking. If you get it for a dual socket LGA771, you should have a wonderfully priced home server.

Great so far.
I got it because my 2nd gen 32GB broke(no sound in left ear) and it was out of warranty. I like almost everything about it, the only problem is the battery seems to drain very quickly. One moment it's full, then it's almost dead! This a great product, but others sometimes seem to have better sound quality.

Great card for anything under direct x10, worth every cent... and then some
I got the 8600 GTS because I was originally running of integrated graphics. On Team Fortress two the FPS was at about 9-20... on low settings. Minecraft barely ran smoothly. So i decided I needed A graphics card. I originally tried to get high-end cards, but they were out of my budget. Then I compared the performance of this card to my integrated (using benchmark sites) and it was around 5x as good as it, so I went and tried to get a good deal on it. (I got it for $25.50 with shipping and handling already accounted for) So, I like the fact that I can play my games on high settings with drops only happening when there's a lot of people online (in the game that I'm on) It easily goes between 50-100+ fps on TF2, 60ish on Minecraft and 200 on Halo PC (I haven't checked for the average on any of those.) My only problem is the stock cooler seems to under-perform with idle temps at 57c. however this is my first Graphics card, and I don't really know about the temps or cooling, but I do know you can get aftermarket coolers to take that down a lot. Another problem is even though it's DX10 compliant, it doesn't perform well at all on dx10. (to be more exact DX9.8) I don't know how it compares to others, but at it's price range it seems to be one of the best (going off ebay price ranges)
