Get what you pay for
Purchased this as a gift - however discovered upon arrival that quality was not good enough for this purpose. The necklace is' Vintage Styled' however the glass pearl beads that were of this era in this case are plastic replicas. The darker gold matte beads are ok, however many of the shiny gold beads are flawed from the coating spray where is is either oversprayed or has run and dried unevenly in creases. I can only assume that the small chips in the surface finish of all the shiny beads have come from rubbing up against other beads in the manufacturing process. This item is ok for a dress-up, flapper night or for using in a display where it is static. If required for everyday wear I suspect you wouldn't wear it more than once or twice before the lack of quality becomes very obvious.
