Spot treatment
I am blessed with a very large garden and cursed with a large Slug population. It's far too expensive to treat the whole area with Nematodes and so I do a mix in a spray can and wander round the garden at dusk with a headtorch and spray directly onto each slug and snail that I see. It's very effective particularly if you do it three or four nights in succession.
