1 of 1 found this helpful first of all this is NOT a high gain device.i use it for a nice boost for leads in front of another unit i use for my rythym sound.it will also produce a great blues style overdrive alone.lots of output,unity gain is below 12:00 so you can blast your amps input if you desire.very amplike character with low noise,more gain than the "green" box.does not really change my sound just adds a little definition and clarifies fast passages when i kick it in(most times all knobs set around 12'oclock).well built and small,switches quietly and doesn't suck my tone.i like it.seems more like an overdrive to me than a distortion,lots of sustain and a great looking box to boot.if you like your sound but just need a little more sometimes,this might be what you are looking for.two thumbs up,try it out
