Fantastic!, you can't go wrong buying this amazing, beautiful silver coin!
2 of 2 found this helpful The American Silver Eagle...what is there not to like about one of the most popular US minted coins? The design is gorgeous, with Lady Liberty on the obverse and the rising sun just below her an to the left side of the coin and the majestic American eagle on the reverse, just below thirteen stars representing the original 13 colonies.
This coin is a great investment for your future, with its .999 fine silver content, but also as an investment in collectibility. These coins are not just purchased because of their silver content. The American Silver Eagle is also highly prized by collectors worldwide and, depending on the year, mint and condition, some eagles are worth far more than their silver content.
The Silver Dollar Eagle is a win-win coin. Great as a personal investment and also a very nice gift for that special someone in your life, whether it's a student graduating or a gift for Mom or Dad, whomever you give this to, you'll make them very happy.
Bottom line: You can't go wrong buying this amazing coin.

Great looking coin, with a high silver content at a reasonable cost.
3 of 5 found this helpful I bought the 1948 Mexican 5 Pesos silver coin because it's a great way to invest in silver. It's high silver content of .86 troy ounces is actually HIGHER than the American Morgan Silver Dollar with is .77 troy ounces. What makes the '48 Mexican Peso even a better deal, is that if you want to invest in silver AND have a coin with history, this is a great way to do that. The average Morgan silver dollar will usually cost you much more than the Mexican '48 silver 5 pesos. This way you get "two birds with one stone"...a heavy silver coin (.86 oz) AND a nice historical piece from our neighbor down south. And one more thing, the Mexican mint, known as "La Casa de Moneda de Mexico" is the oldest mint in the Americas that is still minting coins to this day.
Personally what I like about this coin is that Mexico has some of the most attractive coin designs of any mint, but that is just my opinion. Bottom line...you can't go wrong buying one of these coins. High silver content and historical design. Compared to the Morgan silver dollar, which is also a very beautiful coin, you'll get more silver per coin with the 1948 Mexican 5 Peso, if that's what you're after
