Presidential gardens
Lovely book but would lack appeal to her usual fans because the nature of the gardens is so different, much more formal and structured, being officially designated. I think someone interested in American history would value it more than a lover of poets and English country gardens.

1 of 1 found this helpful This is a densely researched book written in lucid and impassioned prose covering a vast terrain. The authors' perspective gives me hope for our passage through this inchoate frenetic planet we all inhabit. While the Hobbesians stake a claim with much evidence on a gloomy vision, this interpretation is equally likely and more enticing.
