Just what the doctor ordered
I was looking for a bearing set to replace the spindle bearings in my Bridgeport Clone. I selected these based on price, and the fact that were a matched pair. After a little hunting I found a number of pages on the SKF website that allowed me to decode the model numbers to determine exactly what I had purchased. Their web also had extensive information on preloading which allowed me to rebuild my spindle with an adequate amount of preload. The spindle has been rebuild and works just as expected. So I got two things out of this deal, a smooth running, tight, spindle, and a good education in precision ball bearings!

Useful
I have been using a TM501 power supply for some time and find it very useful. With dual 0-20v, 400ma regulated supplies that share a center connection, whose voltages can be adjusted independently or linked, with independent, adjustable, current limiting, it great for analog bread boarding. Throw in a 5v logic supply, and at least for me, I rarely have to breakout another supply. Mine is always connected to my solderless bread board so when I need to test something, I don't waste time gathering what I need and making connections. I have a number of Tektronix's TM series modules, and this one gets the most use.
