A lot of fun, very talkative little guy.
Responds to voice, occasionally rolls around by himself. Hearing him beeping and booping around the house is great and really brings BB8 to life. Rolls around well, can go over carpet and tile flooring. More stable on carpet. His body also has several blue lights that shine well in the dark. Really nice detail that I didn't expect.
Controls take some getting used to, once you have a bit of practice he gets quite fun. He mostly controls in a zig zag pattern because he is a ball, so don't expect a perfect straight line. Hyperdrive feature works and you can hear the motor revving if you get BB8 rolling for long enough.
Only minor downside is that you need to be quite close to BB8 for him to recognise your voice and respond. Won't respond from across the room. Picking him up and talking directly to him works well and the family had a lot of laughs with this. He has his usual beep and boops and a more needy attention seeking style sound if you ignore him.
Worth the money, would buy again!

It works! Just have your work piece secured well!
Cuts through 16 gauge steel, gets the job done. Difficult to get perfectly straight cuts but a bit of practice and it can be done. Have your piece held by clamps, vice or anchored down to get the best cutting angle from the nibbler.
Really good for curves and inside cuts. Worth the money!

Dries clear, no stickiness, great finish!
1 of 1 found this helpful Works well on mild steel armour. Easy to apply wax that will last a long time. Thin waxes can be jelly like which causes dust and dirt to stick. But the Renn wax is quite thick and dries clear with no stickiness, this makes it better than most waxes on the market. The big difference with Renn Wax vs other brands is that it is PH neutral, which means no acids or other chemicals that would cause rust.
The only downside is the mild paint smell, but it quickly disappears after applying it. Much better than strong smelling aerosol oils or sprays. Worth the money!
