An interesting DVD well worth watching
The DVD varied widely from the book to have a happy ending, but nevertheless I enjoyed it.The strong relationship that grew between Mr Holmes at the end of his long life and the young boy provided a happy ending.I also enjoyed the scenery. I thought the scenes in Japan were brief and not very effective.

A DVD that needs subtitles
I was very disappointed to find that there were not any subtitles as I am hearing impaired. There was not any indication of this when I ordered. This meant I had to struggle with the dialogue which, I suspect, was not very clear anyway. It certainly detracted from my enjoyment of the film.
