JBL L1 : incredible sound, you wouldn't believe what your hearing.

These are great bookshelf size speakers that can be used as main or surround speakers (as I have in living room). Hefty but solidly built, these speaker have a clear sound stage, rich sound with more bass than you would think possible for their size ( airspace of a min. of 2" behind speakers is need for best bass sound and highs need to be dampen a little when used in "high reflective sound" walls). Setting these up in my bedroom with a Soundcraftsmen A2602 at 250 W/ch @ 8 ohms. The extra power gives the speakers a very clean sound at low sound levels (true for all JBL's L series speakers ie L7, L5 & L3 which I have a full set of :D ) If you're looking for true Hi-Fi speakers, that hard to find these days, give the JBL L1s a try, you just wouldn't believe what you hearing :)
