Lionel NKP Engine
I bought the engine new but it was made in 2001. The battery is too difficult to install. Tower, crew talk feature doesn’t work with conventional transformer.

NYC Ft locomotive with the rail sounds system
This FT locomotive with rail sounds system works great. The only problem is the crew/tower talk is at times garbled. I am sure this has to do with the age of the technology. This is not a problem in the newer engines I. For what I paid is was a good buy.
