The Best
This is the second DS-40 recorder I have bought because I liked it so much. I keep one in my backpack and one in my locker at school. When I know I will miss a class I loan it to a friend and don't miss a thing.
It is simple to use, simple to upload, compact, good on batteries, and has excellent sound quality. It has three sound settings and unlike a lot of recorders, these settings make a huge difference so use the appropriate one. When I use the "lecture" setting it does a great job of picking up the professor's voice even though I am recording in a big auditorium.
There is a guy on one of my classes who uses a super expensive mic to record directly to his laptop and his recordings sound no better then mine.

YOU CANNOT SUBSTITUTE THE 6TH EDITION FOR THIS BOOK.
If you were looking to save money by buying the older edition of this book, sadly, it won't work.
Every semester when I am told by my professors to buy the new book...I do. But I also buy the last edition (usually for pennies on the dollar compared to the new edition) and usually find that there is no need for the newer, more expensive version. (I then return the new version to the book store for a refund and use the savings to buy supplements.)
That is not true with this book.
Difference between 6th and 7th Edition:
Not only are there a lot of new cases in the new one and dropped cases from the old one, but the chapters are organized differently. All you have to do is look at the table of contents for both books and you will see that the old version won't work if you professor is having you read specific page numbers.
I think this is the first time ever, but I highly recommend buying the newer edition of this book.
(The only reason I gave this book one star was to catch people's attention. Because the only people buying this book are those that are being forced to by their professors, I figured its star rating didn't matter as much as making sure people knew that the old version won't work.)

Spot on, as expected.
I tried the Costco ones (Goodyear, I think) but even with 5 different adapters, they didn't have on that fit my 2007 Volvo S60R. Normally, I would then buy from my local auto shop, but they wanted something like $50 for an off-brand. These are the real deal - Bosch, and at this price are a no-brainer. They also arrived very quickly!
