Great Starter, Perfect Fit
This AC Delco starter was the perfect fit for my 1977 Corvette C3. It has a similar design to the original that I was replacing and it’s a direct fitment, no extra cuts or machining required, and it’s good quality. My Corvette starts right up now, without issue. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this starter. It’s good quality, from a good brand and it’s a good value for the money.

Good for small gains
Summary:
This isn’t going to revolutionize how the car feels nor how it performs. The design internally is similar to the stock one, just with a larger diameter and a more gradual curve downward into the engine, which helps with airflow. It’s also well made and machined. This plenum really needs to be paired up with a 75mm throttle body, otherwise you won’t properly take advantage of the larger diameter and higher airflow that this design offers.
What does it do and how does it feel? :
It adds a very modest amount of horsepower/torque, 5 hp and 8 tq at the very most, but I’d wager it doesn’t even add that much. It does help the car feel a lot better, as far as throttle response is concerned, however. The larger plenum/throttle body really help wake up the car and help it not have such a lethargic throttle response when you stomp on the gas.
Should you get this? :
It depends on what you want. It does help with throttle response and makes the car feel better to drive and helps wake up the engine, but don’t expect this to all of a sudden make your old mustang run circles around everyone else on the road. It isn’t hard to install and looks good too, the price isn’t horrible either. I personally like it and am satisfied with it, but if you’re looking for big power adding mods, this isn’t one of them.

Don’t bother with these…
Just get the actual OEM replacement. These are cheap knock-offs that don’t fit right at all and have wrong coloring. I’ve ordered two of these things thinking that I just got a bad one, but no, they were just garbage and with the money that I wasted, I could’ve just bought the OEM replacement and saved myself the headache/money.
The color I ordered was supposed to be graphite (the same as my interior color) and this cheap replacement piece is lighter and an almost browner color than the original color, making it stand out and look wrong. The fitment on the switches is also completely off and it makes the switches get stuck/not move because it shifts them too far to the left and makes them all near inoperable. The size for the screw holes to mount the switch assembly are also wrong, they’re much smaller than the original, making it impossible to use the factory mounting screws without modification.
Overall, these things are complete garbage. Save yourself the headache and just get the Ford branded parts. Yes, they’re more expensive, but they actually fit, be the correct color and they’re really good quality, unlike this trash.
