  Advertised a fake/reproduction coin as a genuine ancient coin without doing due diligence before listing. Told me that "hopefully it was real" when I brought it up - but did agree to a full refund after I noted that eBay probably does not look kindly upon selling reproductions/fakes as the real article. I think this is probably usually a good seller - but this was not a great or reassuring experience. Hopefully they do better in future.

  The buyer should have done his due diligence to know that all "Tribute Pennies" are reproductions. What makes the coin valuable is when it was reproduced. I thought the buyer knew that, so when he said he hoped it was real, I agreed thinking he meant it was might be more valuable than what he paid. I have since gotten the coin appraised and ended up selling it to a private dealer for double what was originally bid. I didn't have to give the buyer a refund, but did so out of good customer service
