Nice edition. But you should be better than 'intermediate' level to get the best from it!

Looks just like vintage cable.
I used some of this 3-core to replace worn out 2-core on a vintage table lamp that was not double insulated. Modern UK standards require such items to have a safety earth so you need 3-core cable. The fact it is 3-core and not 2-core is not quickly obvious from its looks. The braid is just like the old cable. The brown colour is quite dark, and in retrospect perhaps I should have used one of the lighter colours available.

Very niice small brass UJ couplers.
Nicely made universal joint. The grub screws are necessarily small and fiddly but work well. If you have space it is better to use headed screws instead. Well made.
