Acer 24" Full HD K242HL LED Monitor

Looks good, was good value, still going!!!

Got this monitor for our daughter a few years ago now and it's still going and been used heavily in this time. Only does 60Hz refresh... but that's what we paid for. Unless a graphic designer and need colors to match certain standards etc this monitor is more than adequate for 99.99% of people that just need a good sized flat screen monitor. The monitor does have a lot of settings so if have the calibration tools I'm sure it can be calibrated with ease. I have an Acer V203H myself and it's going on 8+ years old and has been 100% reliable. I would rate the Acer monitors I've owned as good as LG and BETTER than Samsung as we have had 3 Samsung monitors that have all died premature deaths. (same as Samsung LCD TV).

Good value, economical to run, solid product

Needed a few more Internet ports in the house as have potentially 3 computers, TV, and a few other devices. The Telstra Smart modem had 4 ports but needed 6 so opted for a specialized switch box. All the ports are GB speed and can sense if a device is connected so throttles down if nothing connected. Have had this for over a year now and has worked faultlessly and does not get hot. It's very sleek and fits where I can see the status LEDS without being intrusive. Unlike a lot of things... this just worked straight out of the box. Plugged the main Internet cable into the back and other wired connections in and it was running.
