Good bag for near freezing temps
I have Montbell bags #1, #2, and #3 - all Spiral Hugger models (not the Super Stretch). The #3 is too cold for me at temps near 35 degrees f. The lengths for #2 and #3 are very good for me, at 5' 10" tall. Both bags #2 (24 ounces) and #3 (18.7 ounces) came in under the advertised weight.
My shoulders are 48" circumference, weight 195 lbs. The #1 bag (long version, circa 2009) has a lot more shoulder room than #2 and #3, and is very warm, albeit a bit heavy (34 ounces).
Bag #2 is lightweight, well constructed, and is warm at temps in the 30's f. I sleep cold, and with a long sleeve baselayer top, gym shorts, socks, and a hat, slept well.
Both the modern #2 and #3 do not have nearly the shoulder room inside that the older #1 does, although these bags are roomier than most other models. The 'stretch' feature in these two bags is exaggerated. If you want a very roomy bag, tho a bit heavier, go with the Super Stretch models. As it is, this bag is OK for my needs, as I like a roomy bag.
The #2 bag is now my main go-to bag for bikepacking
