Action in Italy
Very decent film transfer with good audio. A delightful action film from Edgar G. Ulmer. Beautiful locations! Recommended.

Damn fine camera
1 of 1 found this helpful Love this camera. All controls are in the right place and easy to find. Terrific image quality. Autofocus is slower than on some...but I don't shoot sports, so that's not an issue. I used to shoot medium format film with a Pentax 6x7, so though this Lumix is heavier and a little larger than some other full frame digital cameras, is feather-weight when compared to the Pentax! I like the heft and solid construction.

Terrific silent film
It's called the "first Czech sound film" because it has a synchronized track with music a very few sound effects....but it's a silent film. This DVD is well-produced, and has English-language sub-titles available both on the feature and on bonus features as well...which greatly appreciated and a little unusual in my experience. (Most of my other Czech DVD's with English subtitles lack the translation on the bonus features.)
The film itself is beautifully photographed. The characters are engaging and the story is strong, if somewhat predictable. It is a true classic.
