Grip and good looks
I went with the general sheet as a pre-cut kit wasn't available for the CB750. The sheets come with some sample templates but they are better suited to other bikes. However, it was easy enough to use simple waxed paper and masking tape to make my own.
The sheets cut easily without ragged edges. It probably isn't the recommended way but it was easy to bevel the edge with a belt sander. A straight edge would have still looked good though.
The adhesive works well. I haven't had any lifting but the pads have only been on for a couple weeks.
The increased grip from the pass is really quite nice. I used to have to put a fair bit of weight through my arms on breaking because the tank was quite slick. Now it's a much more comfortable ride and I feel that I've got more control through my legs than I had before.
Also, the pads look 'badass'.
I haven't tried other brands but I highly rate these pads for ease of application, improved ride, and looks.

Not for hot beverages
A good looking flask and it does well with cold beverages but don't expect it to live up to its claims regarding hot beverages. After 8 hours your hot beverages will be luke warm despite preheating the flask. I have a cheap import stainless steel flask that does much better and cost a quarter of this price.
