Addition to my Decepticon Soundwave Collection
The product is great! Bought it unopened and brand new as if it was just bought at the SDCC convention. Great piece to add to the collection and is awesome! Barely bigger than my iPad mini 2 and can squeeze into a case for the iPad mini. The options for displaying this transformer are incredible. It doesn’t look like it would be able to do much, but it is a surprising figure. I love it!
Durability- this is one key point I will not be pushing. It is a light weight and very posable figure, but i would much rather care for it and not push the limits. The first few times you transform it, I would recommend being gentle until you get a feel of the product and dare to push the limits.
Entertainment- I give this 5/5 for entertainment as the varying joints are great for various poses. Keep in mind the head is a three piece head and does not move in it’s robot form.
Recommendation- I highly recommend this to anyone who wants an updated form of Soundwave. Keep in mind the silver paint scheme is a SDCC exclusive. There is a rose gold color that was the original color for this molding that was released to China to promote a Chinese tablet. I personally do not like rose gold for my devices and wanted the silver to match.
The Cons- you see a lot of the robot mode on the back of the tablet mode. It would be nice if there was an actual piece to cover the back, but it is understandable.
Overall- I love the product and design! I highly recommend this to anyone who is considering buying this. This may even be a piece for your collection you did not know you wanted! I can see this being a great conversational piece and look forward to the conversations this will start!
