almost dead remote battery
It would have been nice to have fresh battery power in the remote - - - had to drive 8.5 miles to purchase new battery. Kinda annoying if you know what i mean

Longevity a concern
Terrific water boiler. Great design for pouring boiling water. Attractive kitchen counter mate.
Concern is that the heating element will burn out after several weeks. It gets sufficiently hot to cause pitting isn't the bottom of the pot.
Even though it may be short lived it is worth the experience. Wish I had bought two so when the first fails I'll have a spare.
I'd recommend to my friends with this concern
