    GREAT BOOK!
Educational psychology both draws from and contributes to cognitive science and the learning sciences. In colleges and universities, departments of educational psychology are usually housed within faculties of education, possibly accounting for the lack of representation of educational psychology content in introductory psychology textbooks. However, this text does a very good job in giving the student an introductory psychology briefing of psychologists who have played a major role in the field of psychology. Overall, the book’s purpose is to examine the life and contributions of past and present psychologists. I enjoyed the ability to relate to the psychologists in the book. Although, I used this book for the purpose of a class requirement at first and did not consider this book to be a book that I would read for pleasure, lately, I have been feeling like I would not mind having this book catalog in my home library. This is a great book and I would recommend it to others!

    Good book to have!
As the Internet and television becomes a man’s best friend, I find reading to be one of most favorite things to do. Combining reading with hands-on training and you have this book, SPSS Essentials: Managing and Analyzing Social Sciences Data (Research Methods for the Social Sciences). The chapters are short but filled with information that helps the reader when exploring SPSS. As a result, this book has become a main form of entertainment for me. Unlike the popular belief, reading is not becoming a thing of the pas as this book has greatly enhance my life experiences at school, home and work. The purpose of this book is to guide individuals using SPSS software in their research resulting in the explanation of the comprehensive scope of what SPSS programming entails. Additionally, inside of this book are foundational concepts of SPSS, such as but not limited to, effectively operating within the SPSS environment, as well as creating, separating and the overall manipulating data files.

    I love this book!
I loved the book. Why? Because it was very informative and easy to read. Currently as a graduate student studying educational psychology, I find eeducational psychology to be an interesting topic that explains the study of how humans learn in educational settings. The overall effectiveness of educational interventions and the psychology of teaching in a school setting do wonders to how well a student progress in and outside of the classroom. This book, “Learning theories” opens the student’s eyes to useful terminology as well as addresses the concerns with how students develop mentally and socially. As educational psychology can be understood through its relationship with other disciplines, this book explores those discipline in-depth where the student is informed and may have the motivation to create a relationship with this book along with others books to show the correlation as educational psychology entails a wide range of specialties within educational studies. Those specialties include but are not limited to, instructional design, educational technology, curriculum development, organizational learning, special education and classroom management.
