I've read some bad reviews but why?
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought the three pack b/c I needed small but bright flashlights placed around my house with the storm season coming. Plus, this is great for when I have to walk my dog at night. I placed the order when I saw the sale but didn't read any reviews. After I placed the orders, I read some negative reviews and started to think I had made a mistake. I had read that some ppl received knock-offs, units without the "Bell&Howell" label on it and how the power button broke after only several uses. Naturally, after I got the flash lights, I immediately took them all out and tested every one of them. I tested the power button on the rear many times in quick succession as well as cycling through all the modes and zooms. The build on every one of them felt solid. The only criticism i have is with the battery sled. They could have designed it so it sits very snug in the body and would have a slight rattle when you shake it. I have used one of them every day so far and nothing has broke on me or malfunctioned. For me these worked out great (so far) and boy are they BRIGHT! There are brighter ones out there that is a step up but these are more than enough if you are not using it for some professional tactical purpose. Though, I still think it is enough even for that!
Overall, I would recommend these to friends and family. Obviously if you were sent knock-offs/fakes, then your experiences will not be the same but if you got the authentic Bell&Howell Taclight, you will not be disappointed.
