One Devil of A Great Book!
Since The Exorcist emerged as the original book and subsequent movie, I've collected everything to do with the story. I wont bore you with all that I find to be great merits of the story...just know that I am a rabid collector. There have been many books and articles about The Exorcist, but this book is by far the most important and all conclusive to date. Absolutely everything anyone would ever want to know about the movie and it's sequals is here presented with attending photos from the movie and candids of the principals involved. From the movies grand opening with all the furor surrounding audience reactions to the lawsuits to the alleged "curse" behind the film...not one aspect is overlooked. Don't let any seller's shipping price on this book discourage you if you are considering buying it. It is a very thick book and this accounts for the larger weight situation in shipping fees. It's worth every cent! Overall, whether a reader is a novice or well seasoned fan of this groundbreaking film, this book is a must have, case closed!

The Gold Standard U.F.O. Kit
This model has been released at least 3 times under different companies and packaging. The first was the Testors version which is selling for insane prices. If you aren't collecting models to keep them in a closet as an investment, then this is the version to have as it's the least expensive. With the exception of having more decals it's the exact same piece as the other release's including the clear body parts. The model is wildly customizable with a guide to painting it with various parts left transparent in different ways to display with parts or all of the interior workings and little grey pilots in view. Or you can paint it silver or other solid color if desired and leave the pegged upper and lower shell halves unglued to remove from time to time to see that the little pilots are doing their jobs, whatever that may be. U.F.O. "fans" will instantly recognize this piece as the Bob Lazar "Sports Model" saucer from Area 51. Also, it's the poster U.F.O. from the X-Files "I Want to Believe" poster in Mulder's office. I can't imagine any person into the U.F.O. phenomenon not needing to have this piece. It is personally my number one recommendation for starting your own fleet of different, let's use the term "factual", flying saucers...as opposed to movie and t.v. show fictional ones.

A story that will never die
After having read my last copy of Dracula to shreds, I decided to go for this one. I was very happy and surprised by it. While the book is smaller than a standard paperback, it is nicer than a common paperback. Pages are quality white paper and not the pulpy sort of a paperback. The edges have beautiful real gold edges and there is a sewn in satin bookmark. The binding is high quality and sewn in rather than cheaply glued, the latter being subject to falling apart quite easily. The story itself is quite different from all the books and movies about Dracula and it is amazing to read this novel where everything began. One drawback is that having been written over 100 years ago, I suspect that only a very well read lover of fine literature will understand half of what's going on. It is written by an Irishman using different British accents and broken English spoken by a Dutchman. Having said all that, this is certain to be a delightfully compact book to enjoy over and over as well as a fine archival edition.
