Modification needed to be made safe

The wires internally to the socket are soldered and very flimsy.. would not take much for them to become detached.. sealing them with an epoxy or something would be wise, there is no fuse between clips & socket so if a short was to happen would be nasty... Poor design, badly made.. but is cheap and with a modification can be made safe

Ford Econovan - wrong fit !

This was the recommended part for my 1999 to 2006 Econovans, the bolt holes do not line up resulting in having to waste time to make it fit. I have 3 Econovans (JH 1999-2002) and an a 2003 Although the outlet housing curve varies slightly on the MPI Engine, the bolt holes and thermostat diameter is the same 52mm, gasket mating area is the same footprint and uses the 'exact' same gasket as the '03 model. ..so I confirm this gasket isn't an exact fit for 'any' FE - Econovan engine. When I buy a gasket for a specific vehicle I expect it to 'just fit'. "Dayco Thermostat DTG15" is a perfect fit 😎

Poorly designed, Tiny and Weak.

Really small, will not fit many vehicles at all.. It broke easily, even though I was patient and careful.. I had written a more detailed review but when I went to submit, I was asked to log in, everything was lost 😒 See my pictures. the box has both tools inside.. like a kids toy version of a man's tool The black tool in the picture is the normal size I had to purchase it elsewhere to complete the task, only shown as a comparison to the size.
