effective heat source for removing multi contact soldered components
Based on one operation to remove a computer tablet charging socket from its logic board, preceded by a few experiments on a damaged cicuit board - the hot air gun is easy to set up to the desired temperature and upon starting heats up displaying temp as it rises. once at temp, it blows a good flow onto the work causng the chosen component to be released as the solder melts. Upon placing the gun back in its cradle, the fan continues until the element has cooleed before shutting down. I can't vouch for its durability, but very happy with the product so far!
