I've used tapes quite long ago. But this item was just swallowed into the LTO4 drive and cleans something inside. ;)
1. Cheap and useful.
2. I was anxious about too wide specs: LTO1-LTO7 cleaning.
3. My newly bought Dell LTO4 SAS drive (actually IBM Ultrium-TD4) swallows it and do some cleaning.
4. According to the drive status it was cleaned well.

Good mSATA ssd
The pro's:
- quality manufacturing in terms of components, PCB and soldering/assembling.
- Intel 29F32B08 flash
- inexpensive.
- good packaged. Not in a simple anti-static bag as usual, but in a retail black box with protective foam inside.
The con's:
- durability isn't known yet.
- not a best SMI sm2246xt SSD controller.
Was bought as a boot drive for homelab Dell R610 server, so I don't need high iops and throughput and "all that bells and whistles".

Asus PIKE controllers is a strange beasts. But usable.
Well. PIKE format is specific to Asus. Motherboards, that accept these HBA's have some non-standard slot. Engineers tried to fit an optional SAS controller to extend MB functionality.
The same way as Supermicro do their UIO and WIO cards.
Overall, it is just a well known LSI2008 HBA that most ZFS fans like.
And yeah! I've bought it to have a 8xSAS6 HBA with all other slots free.
