Silver lining
The PS Vita has failed commercially in the US. But it's a better system then the DS, and now that it's all but been abandoned by Sony, you can get one on the cheap. This first model has an OLED screen. There are a ton of games. You can get one used for less than 1/3 of the original asking price.

Impressed after swapping tube
3 of 4 found this helpful The stock vaccum tube had an unpleasant distortion for my taste. I switched it out for a Mullard, and then an EHX. Both sound a lot better. I use it to add color to synths and when sampling. I use two of these for stereo processing.

Powerhouse
One voice of the Prophet-06. It is a truly fantastic sounding synth. Interface is limited for design, but not terrible if you are proficient with programming subtractive synths. Effects sound great, and touch strip is good for performance. Sequencer leaves something to be desired. Step entry only, no real time, and changing the sequence is not synced.
Overall its the best sounding synth I've tried for $500.
